Answers to common questions about LegalByte, our reports, and how the process works.

LegalByte is a property due diligence platform for Bengaluru. We analyse your property documents — sale deeds, encumbrance certificates, khata, and more — and produce a Scrutin 360 report that tells you what the documents say, what risks they reveal, and what you should verify before buying.
Buy a credit pack on the Pricing page — Starter, Standard, or Pro depending on how many documents you have. Then log in to the app, create an order, upload your documents, and we take it from there.
We do not currently offer a free trial. Our Starter pack at ₹2,800 (+ GST) is the lowest entry point and covers a basic document set. If you have questions before purchasing, contact us and we will walk you through what to expect.
LegalByte currently covers Bengaluru. We are expanding to other cities — follow us on LinkedIn for updates on when we launch in your city.
We do not currently offer a self-serve demo. Contact us and we can walk you through the platform and a sample report before you purchase.
Scrutin 360 is our full property due diligence report. It analyses your uploaded documents, traces the title chain, flags encumbrances and legal risks, and is reviewed by a qualified property lawyer before it reaches you.
DocGet retrieves property documents you may be missing — from Karnataka government records — and verifies they are authentic. It is useful when a seller cannot provide the full document chain and you need to source records independently.
At minimum: the sale deed, encumbrance certificate (EC), and khata. The more you provide — mother deed, previous sale deeds, tax paid receipts, approved plan — the more thorough the analysis. Our platform accepts PDF and image formats.
Most reports are ready within 24–48 hours. Large or complex document sets may take up to 72 hours. You will receive an email notification when your report is ready.
Yes. Our AI pipeline processes documents in both English and Kannada. The final report is delivered in English.
Yes — every Scrutin 360 report is reviewed by a qualified property lawyer from our network before it is delivered. This is not an optional add-on. It is part of the service for every report.
We cover residential and commercial properties in Bengaluru — apartments, independent houses, sites, and commercial units. The analysis is based on Karnataka property law and land record systems.
Credits are a single wallet usable across both Scrutin 360 and DocGet. 1 credit = 1 page of Scrutin 360 analysis. DocGet retrievals are charged per document. Credits never expire.
We offer three credit packs: Starter (200 credits, ₹2,800 + GST), Standard (700 credits, ₹8,400 + GST), and Pro (1,200 credits, ₹13,200 + GST). Standard is enough for most Bengaluru apartment or site purchases.
