Welcome to Legal Byte, a product of Lexipro Solutions Private Limited ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Legal Byte website (www.legalbyte.ai) or application ("Platform"), you ("User," "Customer," or "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

2. CONSENT AND ACCEPTANCE

By using the Legal Byte Platform, you consent to:

• Collection, use, and processing of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy
• These Terms and Conditions in their entirety
• Transfer of your personal data as necessary for service provision, including to countries with different data protection standards

3. SERVICE PLANS AND ACCOUNT CREATION

3.1 Available Plans

• Free Plan: 100 pages of AI analysis with basic reporting
• Standard Plan: Up to 500 pages with comprehensive AI analysis and unlimited queries
• Premium Plan: Up to 1000 pages with AI analysis plus lawyer verification and consultation

3.2 Account Requirements

To use our services, you must:

• Create an account with accurate and complete information
• Provide valid contact details and payment information (for paid plans)
• Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. REFUND POLICY

4.1 Eligibility Period

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase date.

4.2 Refund Conditions

Refunds are available ONLY if the customer has NOT:

• Created a new analysis project
• Provided property information for analysis
• Uploaded any property documents
• Initiated chat communication regarding the property analysis

Account registration and profile setup alone do not disqualify refund eligibility.

4.3 Processing

• Processing Time: 5-7 business days after approval
• Processing Fee: 15% of the amount paid deducted from refund amount to cover transaction and operational overheads
• Refund Method: Same payment method used for original purchase

4.4 Non-Refundable Scenarios

No refunds will be provided:

• After customer has initiated any analysis activity (as defined in 4.2)
• For violations of Terms of Use or Acceptable Use Policy
• For delays caused by incomplete or incorrect customer-provided information
• For disputes regarding analysis findings that are factually accurate per available documentation

5. SERVICE DELIVERY AND TIMELINES

5.1 AI Analysis Delivery

• Processing Time: 60-120 minutes for AI analysis completion
• Availability: Analysis results accessible 24/7 once processing complete
• Dependencies: Processing time may vary based on document complexity and clarity

5.2 Lawyer Verification (Premium Plan Only)

• Typical Timeline: 5-8 business days from analysis completion
• Variable Factors: Timeline may extend based on:
  • Property complexity and documentation completeness
  • Required verification from government authorities
  • Pending legal research requirements
• Communication: Progress updates provided every 48-72 hours during verification process
• No Compensation: No refunds or compensation provided for extended verification timelines due to external dependencies

6. AI TECHNOLOGY AND LIMITATIONS

6.1 AI Analysis Overview

Legal Byte employs advanced artificial intelligence and multiple large language models (custom and market available) to analyze property documents. Our AI system incorporates supervised and reinforcement learning methods to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

6.2 Technology Limitations

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Users must understand and acknowledge:

• Screening Tool Only: AI analysis serves as a screening and preliminary review tool, NOT a substitute for comprehensive legal advice
• Accuracy Limitations: While continuously improved, AI models may not identify all potential title issues, legal problems, or document discrepancies
• Document Dependency: Analysis quality depends entirely on the completeness, clarity, and accuracy of documents provided
• No Guarantees: We do not guarantee 100% accuracy in detecting all property issues, encumbrances, or legal complications

6.3 User Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing complete and accurate property documents
• Verifying AI findings through independent legal counsel for high-value transactions
• Understanding that final property purchase decisions rest solely with the customer
• Seeking qualified legal advice for transactions exceeding ₹50 lakhs

7. LAWYER VERIFICATION SERVICES

7.1 Service Scope

Our qualified lawyers provide:

• Review and verification of AI analysis findings
• Assessment of property document legality and validity
• Written legal opinion on letterhead regarding transaction risks
• Basic guidance on recommended next steps

7.2 Service Limitations

Lawyer verification:

• Limited Scope: Based solely on documents provided by customer
• Advisory Nature: Provides legal guidance but does not constitute comprehensive legal representation to the customer
• No Guarantee: Legal opinions are based on available information and standard verification procedures

7.3 Professional Standards

• All lawyers are qualified to practice in relevant Indian jurisdictions
• Professional confidentiality maintained per legal practice standards
• Reviews conducted following established legal verification protocols

8. DATA USAGE AND CONFIDENTIALITY

8.1 Data Processing

We may use uploaded data to:

• Provide the requested property analysis services
• Improve platform performance and user experience
• Conduct property document analysis using market large language models' enterprise API and multi-modal approaches
• Ensure service quality and accuracy

8.2 Confidentiality

• Customer documents remain confidential and are NOT used to train our AI models
• Data shared only with authorized service providers under strict confidentiality agreements
• Third-party providers permitted to use data solely for service delivery purposes

8.3 Data Security

• Store informatoin in redacted or original form for the analysis
• Industry-standard cloud security with role-based access controls

9. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

• Active Accounts: Documents retained for account duration plus 2 years for legal and audit purposes
• Cancelled Accounts: Documents retained for audit compliance; deletion available upon request
• Legal Compliance: Some data may be retained longer per Indian regulatory requirements

9.2 Deletion Requests

• Document deletion available upon customer request
• Processing may take up to 30 days to complete
• Transaction records maintained for legal and audit compliance even after document deletion
• Future automatic deletion compliance as per DPDP Act regulations

11. ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

11.1 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Post or upload illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or objectionable content
• Infringe on intellectual property rights including copyrights, trademarks, patents, or trade secrets
• Transmit viruses, worms, Trojan horses, or other malware
• Interfere with other users' enjoyment of the Platform
• Use the Platform for commercial purposes without prior written consent
• Use automated means (robots, spiders, data mining tools) to access or copy Platform content
• Attempt unauthorized access to Platform systems or networks
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation

11.2 Content Restrictions

Prohibited content includes:

• Unlawful, harmful, threatening, or abusive material
• Content infringing proprietary rights of any party
• Unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, spam, chain letters, or pyramid schemes

11.3 Enforcement

Violation may result in:

• Account suspension or termination
• Loss of paid service access without refund
• Legal action if necessary

12. PLAN UPGRADES AND BILLING

12.1 Plan Changes

• Upgrades: Available by contacting Legal Byte
• Pricing: Upgrade charges applied immediately with appropriate credit adjustments
• Downgrade: Not available during active analysis

12.2 Billing Terms

• One-time Payment: Charged immediately upon purchase confirmation
• Payment Methods: Credit cards, debit cards, UPI, and net banking accepted
• Failed Transactions: Automatically refunded within 3-5 business days
• Taxes: All prices exclude applicable taxes unless specified otherwise

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

13.1 Maximum Liability Caps

Our total liability for all claims related to our services is strictly limited to:

• Free Plan Users: ₹0 (zero liability)
• Standard Plan Users: Maximum ₹25,000
• Premium Plan Users: Maximum ₹50,000

13.2 Excluded Damages

We are NOT liable for:

• Consequential, indirect, incidental, special, or punitive damages
• Lost profits, business opportunities, or investment returns
• Property transaction losses or financial decisions based on our analysis
• Third-party claims arising from customer's property transactions
• Damages exceeding the applicable liability cap stated above

13.3 Property Transaction Risks

CRITICAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT: Given that property transactions involve substantial financial investments, the customers acknowledge:

• The inherent disproportion between service cost and potential property transaction value
• Our liability is appropriately limited to reasonable multiples of service fees paid
• Independent legal counsel recommended for high-value property transactions
• Final transaction decisions and associated risks remain solely with the customer

14. USER INDEMNIFICATION

Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Legal Byte and Lexipro Solutions Private Limited from claims arising from:

• Misuse of our analysis for fraudulent or illegal purposes
• Violation of these Terms of Use or Acceptable Use Policy
• Property transactions conducted contrary to our stated service limitations
• Customer's failure to seek appropriate independent legal counsel when recommended

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

15.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Legal Byte Platform, including content, algorithms, analysis methodologies, and all intellectual property rights, are owned by Lexipro Solutions Private Limited. Customers receive limited usage rights only, not ownership.

15.2 Customer Content Rights

• Customers retain full ownership of uploaded property documents
• Limited processing license granted to Legal Byte for service provision
• Analysis reports become customer property upon delivery
• No reproduction, modification, or unauthorized use of Platform content permitted

16. PRIVACY POLICY

Legal Byte is committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collection and usage governed by our separate Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference into these Terms. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

17. FORCE MAJEURE

17.1 Service Interruptions

We are not liable for service delays or interruptions caused by:

• Government authority delays in providing required documentation
• Third-party service provider issues (cloud services, internet connectivity)
• Natural disasters, pandemics, or other events beyond our reasonable control
• Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)

17.2 No Compensation

No refunds or compensation provided for delays caused by force majeure events or external dependencies beyond our control.

18. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

18.1 Resolution Process

For any disputes arising from these Terms or our services, the following resolution process must be followed. First, customers must attempt to resolve the dispute by contacting our support team at support@legalbyte.ai. If the issue remains unresolved after initial contact, it will be escalated to company management within 48 hours for further review and resolution attempts. Should management-level discussions fail to resolve the dispute, both parties must engage in good faith mediation before pursuing any legal proceedings. Only after mediation has been attempted and failed may either party proceed with binding arbitration or court litigation.

18.2 Mediation Process

The mediation process shall be conducted with a neutral mediator selected by mutual agreement between the parties, or through a professional mediation service if the parties cannot agree on a mediator. The costs associated with mediation shall be shared equally between both parties. The mediation period shall not exceed 30 days unless both parties mutually consent to an extension. All mediation proceedings shall take place in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

18.3 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of our services. The Consumer Protection Act and other applicable Indian consumer laws shall take precedence where applicable and may override specific terms in favor of consumer rights. All legal proceedings, mediation, and arbitration shall be conducted in the English language.

19. TERMINATION

19.1 Termination Rights

Legal Byte reserves the right to terminate user access at any time, with or without prior notice, for violation of these Terms of Use, fraudulent or illegal use of services, non-payment of applicable fees, or any other reason deemed necessary for business operations.

19.2 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

• User access to Platform immediately suspended
• Outstanding fees remain due and payable
• Data retention policies continue to apply
• Refund eligibility determined per Section 4

20. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

20.1 Amendment Rights

Legal Byte reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the Legal Byte Platform and shall be effective immediately upon posting. Active users will be communicated of material changes via email or in app messages when such modifications occur.

20.2 Continued Use

Your continued use of the Platform after Terms modifications constitutes acceptance of new Terms. If you disagree with modifications, discontinue Platform use immediately.

21. SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Invalid provisions will be replaced with valid provisions that most closely reflect the original intent.

22. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published on the Platform, constitute the entire agreement between you and Legal Byte regarding Platform use. No other agreements, representations, or warranties apply unless expressly stated in writing.
